Located somewhere between France, Belgium and Germany, Luxembourg is one of the smallest countries in Europe, but also ranked among the wealthiest ones. Life in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg seems to be tranquil and its citizens are surrounded by the natural beauty of forested hills and beautiful rivers.

The country's capital, Luxembourg City hosts several institutions of the EU but it has so much more to offer to its visitors than just that, as its historical part is registered on the UNESCO World Heritage list. Should I say anything more ?

So, just in case Luxembourg City is not in your bucket list, here are 10 photos who will inspire you to add it :

Extra tips :

1. Luxembourg is a quite expensive country and even most airline companies offer pricey tickets. We would suggest you to take a flight to Brussels and then take a 3 hour train ride to Luxembourg. Three hours might seem quite a long time to be spent in the train but the route is particularly beautiful and you'll save some money.

2. Remember to visit the famous ''Chokolate House'', situated right opposite to the Royal Palace of Luxembourg. Needless to mention what you will find there...

3. The best way to explore the city is by your own two feet. It's free, convenient and not tiring at all. And you will feel no regrets for the chocolate you had right before your walk!
